The project addresses the construction of a new Safe and Secure Truck Parking Area (SSTPA) located on the Slovenian Motorway A1 branch, which connects the northeast-southwest axis of Slovenia, called “Slovenika. The parking area is connected via entrance/exit to the national road POSTOJNA – RAZDRTO (road ID No. 3781, category R2), which is connected to the main motorway network via the road POSTOJNA – PIVKA (road ID No.: 26416, category G1) and the POSTOJNA junction (road ID No.: 23760, category AC (motorway)). The parking area is located 3 km from the motorway.

The objective of the project is to build a new SSTPA in compliance with the “Golden” level EU Parking Standard provided by the European Commission’s study on Safe and Secure Parking Places for Trucks (MOVE/ C1/2017-500) and with the Directive 2010/40/EU and the Commission Delegated Regulation (EU) No 885/2013 with regard to the provision of information services for safe and secure parking places for trucks and commercial vehicles.

To deliver on the objective, the project covers the construction of 69 safe and secure parking spaces for trucks (including 6 parking spaces for connecting refrigerated trucks) on a total area of up to 16,200 m², 2 accompanying gender-friendly low-energy facilities for sanitary, supply and security-control areas and green infrastructure (outdoor fitness, green areas and corners for drivers to rest/relax) and solar power plant for self-supply of the infrastructure of safe and secure parking area with renewable energy (on the bank of the existing embankment with a total area of 3,520 m²).

The project will deliver benefits for freight transport and an enhanced service quality for the haulage industry by increasing safety for its drivers along A1 motorway, which is part of the Mediterranean Core Corridor, the Baltic Sea – Adriatic Sea Core Corridor and the Western Balkans – Eastern Mediterranean Core Corridor, which represent the most important European road and rail axes in Central Europe.

The investment for the creation of the website is co-financed by the Republic of Slovenia and the European Union from the European Regional Development Fund. Link to the EKP website in Slovenia: www.eu-skladi.si.
The company MI OSKRBA s.p. has successfully obtained co-financing for the project of the “Website” operation in the public tender for the “Digital Marketing Voucher”. The operation is co-financed through the Digital Marketing Voucher. The investment voucher for digital marketing (creation of a website) is co-financed by the Republic of Slovenia and the European Union from the European Regional Development Fund.
